Golden Milk (Turmeric Latte) Recipe

Golden Milk (Turmeric Latte) Recipe

We at Moonchild are all about healing and taking extra care of our bodies this month, which is why we are sharing another healing recipe with you today! One to incorporate into your routine to give you an extra boost and take care of your body every week!

Turmeric lattes are the anti-inflammatory, cold-curing, cancer-fighting drink you need in your life right now! This is a warm comfort drink that can actually make a difference. Whether it be for an immunity boost, curing a cold, preventing a cold or simply for the comfort and joy.

Turmeric in itself has the benefits of anti-inflammatory properties, it's good for your gut, it's full of antioxidants, it's great for your skin AND it even has cancer preventative properties - so basically turmeric is jam packed with all the good stuff. Then combining that with ginger, cinnamon and coconut oil you get even more healing properties tossed into one drink.

Turmeric lattes or otherwise known as Golden Milk is an incredible gut healer and can really do a lot for your whole system. For example, another additional benefit of a turmeric latte (or turmeric and ginger in general) is that it helps keep your skin clear and glowing.

You will not only immediately feel better and rebooted, but you'll see and feel a difference - if you enjoy a turmeric latte occasionally.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups of your choice of plant milk (almond milk and oat milk work great!

2 tsp turmeric

1/2 tsp ginger

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp pure vanilla

1 tbs coconut butter (optional: it’s just yummy)

1 tbs coconut oil

1 tsp maple syrup or honey or 2 dates (this is optional but personally I find that a little bit of sweetness makes it even better)

Do it!

1. Combine all the ingredients in a pot on medium to high heat

2. Stir occasionally until your latte starts to boil

3. Once you've brought it to a boil, turn off your stove and pour the mixture into your blender

4. Blend for about 1 minute - but you can also blend it longer. The longer you blend the more froth you typically get (but this also depends on the choice of plant milk)

5. Last but not least - enjoy! ;)

Give this delicious, comforting and healing drink a try and share with us what you think! :)

Namasté !
