3 Powerful Teas You Should Drink

Today we are sharing another holistic Moonchild tip with you! Today we are talking about tea and its powerful benefits. There are many teas available to us today. Some we drink for pleasure and taste, while some we may enjoy for their healing abilities.

Tea has been understood and used as medicine for years based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. Due to different types of teas having different (some very powerful) properties, they have been used for healing the body.

Today, we are focusing on three different types of teas. The list of options is endless, so we want to narrow it down and start with three. If this is a topic you are interested in, then we let us know in the comments below :)

Tea is a great option when it comes to implementing a quick and easy holistic addition to your lifestyle. It's an easy way for our bodies to get some of the benefits that these teas and their roots provide for us. Plus it's comforting and affordable. :)

1. Ginger

Ginger is well known as a powerful root with lots of anti-inflammatory and healing properties. Ginger has lots of properties that are worth mentioning. Ginger is most well known for it's anti-inflammatory abilities but also it's effect on nausea. Ginger tea is a great option for when you are feeling ill or if you are specifically dealing with nausea. You can either buy ginger tea or you can also cut up some fresh organic ginger and soak it in boiling water for a single ginger tea.

There are other benefits to ginger tea such as its effect on skin, digestion, balancing blood sugar and even helping with period pains.

Ginger tea is definitely something worth implementing into your daily routine.

2. Chamomile

Chamomile. Most well known for its calming properties, also has more to offer. Chamomile tea is an incredible option for you if have a hard time falling asleep, staying asleep or even getting a well rested sleep. Chamomile is a great option to an hour or two before going to bed to help calm your system and get your body ready for sleep.

With its calming abilities, it is also an option for when you may be feeling overwhelmed or potentially a little stressed. Drinking a cup og chamomile tea won't save the world, but it may help calm your nervous system.

Chamomile has also been known to have powerful anti-bacterial properties and liver-protecting effects.

3. Peppermint

Peppermint is one of the most commonly used herbs in the world. Most of all, peppermint is well known for it's digestive properties. Peppermint is known to aid with indigestion and any other discomfort that you may experience, such as nausea, or stomach pain/cramping. It can be especially helpful to you if you suffer from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

Peppermint also is known for having anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral properties.

Peppermint tea is a great option for a post dinner cup of comfort to help aid digestion. Adding a cup of soothing peppermint tea to your evening routine can have major implications for your digestion and potentially also sleep.

This is just a small selection of all of the wonderful teas that can be used to heal and cleanse the body. These three are our top picks for what should be implemented into your routine for a healthier life.

Yes, it’s nice! I also like very much the tea from Hibiscus flowers!
Following the book about Ayurvedic healing plants, from Dr. Vasant Lad, the dried flowers (8g) are to be soaked for a longer while in cold water (0,5l). Next, the pure deep-red liqud should be boiled up and it can have a litte fresh lemon juice and some sweetness added.
In Yoga and Ayurveda traditions, the flowers are associated with Ganesha, they are consacrated in ceremonies to Lord Ganesha, useful to all matters of the first, the Muladhara Chakra.
Hibiscus has diverse healing properties, for example it alleviates heat from fiever or else, and it cares for beautiful hair and skin, it cleanses the heart and blood from toxines …
Try it out and enjoy :) it is easy to get!
